1. Does the charity check-up cost anything?
It doesn’t. This 30-minute consultation is only available to StudyPass subscribers and it’s free.
2. How can I register my interest in a 30-minute check-up?
Follow the instructions on the charity check-up main page.
3. How quickly will you pass my details on to the trainer?
We guarantee to forward your email to your trainer within 2 working days.
4. How quickly will I be contacted by the trainer?
We have asked our trainers to contact you as soon as possible but we have no control over trainers’ response time.
5. What if the trainer does not get in touch with me?
If more than two weeks have passed since you registered your interest and you have not heard from your trainer, email us at studyzone@knowhownonprofit.org and we’ll do our best to assist you.
6. What happens when the trainer is not available?
There will be times when our trainers cannot schedule a check-up with you during the month you submitted the request. In this case, the trainer will let us know what month they have been able to schedule you in. You can then contact us with a new request, however we will only process one request per subscription at a time. If your request process spills over into the next month you do not acquire a new entitlement to extra training that month once the outstanding request is processed.
7. Can I cancel my charity check-up?
If you’ve registered your interest in talking to a particular trainer but subsequently changed your mind, e-mail studyzone@knowhownonprofit.org to let us know and we’ll cancel the booking on your behalf.
8. Do I call the trainer or do they call me to carry out the check-up once we've agreed on the date?
This is a decision between you and the trainer.
9. What exactly happens during my 30-minute check-up?
You will probably spend the first ten minutes of your check-up explaining to your trainer what the problem you’re facing is so they can understand how to help. Once you’ve described your challenge, the trainer will do their best to suggest possible ways in which you can tackle it.
10. Will the check-up solve my problem?
You shouldn’t expect to solve your problem in 30 minutes, but by the end of the conversation you should have a clearer idea of your options and their impact or consequences.
11. Will the trainer keep any information I give confidential?
The trainer has to keep any data or information you share during your phone call strictly confidential. Only if illegal practices are identified will any information be passed to a third party without your express permission.
12. What if I wasn’t able to make the agreed date and time and didn’t get a chance to cancel my charity check-up?
If subscribers schedule a check-up with their trainer but are not available on the agreed date and time they cannot call at a different time. They must start the process again by emailing studyzone@knowhownonprofit.org to register their interest.
13. What happens after the check-up? Is there any follow-up?
The trainer may or may not wish to follow up with an email, directing you to useful websites or some of their resources which might be of further help.
14. What if I need more help from the same trainer?
If you feel you need more help and are interested in commissioning the services of your trainer at a cost, you are welcome to email them after the check-up to discuss this further. Trainers should only be contacted directly if you are looking to pay for their consultancy services.
15. How many charity check-ups can a trainer usually offer StudyPass subscribers every month?
This is totally up to the trainer’s availability. It can be that they are able to schedule one charity check-up every week or only one a month depending on their other commitments.
16. What if I need several check-ups during the same month?
The charity check-up offer is limited to one 30-minute phone consultation per subscription per month.
17. If I have an organisational subscription, can several members of my team register their interest in separate check-ups with different trainers?
If one of your colleagues with whom you share an organisational subscription has already contacted us to register their interest in a check-up, no other team member can apply for a check-up until we find out whether the request has been successful that month or not. We will only process one request per subscription at a time.
18. What if I’m not happy with this charity check-up service?
We sincerely hope this is not the case, but please contact us with any problems you may be having and we'll do everything we can to help: studyzone@knowhownonprofit.org.
