Welcome to StudyZone, the third sector’s first democratic e-learning platform. It’s a space where people working in the non profit sector can do training online and request the training they need to help them develop.

We know that everyone’s budget is tight but that demand for quality training remains high. So we’ve created an online training platform that is responsive, innovative and cost-effective.

All the courses in StudyZone are designed specifically for the voluntary sector. They're 20 to 40 minutes long and practical in focus. Browse our growing training library.

To make StudyZone even better value for money, we are launching StudyPass - a subscription service that gives you access to ALL our training courses from just £9.99 a month. Find out more about StudyPass.

What StudyZone can do for you

Whether you’re a trainer or a trainee, here are some of the benefits of StudyZone.

Trainees

KnowHow’s StudyZone is a great place to get your voluntary sector training needs sorted. Here’s why our courses are rather special:

Every training session is:

  • online so you can access it anywhere, anytime, breaking down the barriers to traditional face-to-face learning.
  • user-led – meaning you can suggest training that you want to receive or vote for other people’s suggestions – we’ll then turn the top suggestions into real training sessions
  • delivered by voluntary sector experts who are seasoned consultants or trainers in their field of expertise
  • recorded using technology that allows you to see both the trainer and their slides at the same time
  • practical, so you can immediately put into practice what you’ve learned
  • wide-ranging, so you have lots of topics to choose from
  • interactive, so you can communicate with the trainer and fellow trainees via bespoke online discussion forums
  • delivered in four or five bite-size chunks, so you can stay focused and engaged throughout
  • accompanied by downloadable materials that reinforce the learning
  • fully accessible to any type of web user
  • affordable when compared to conventional face-to-face learning.

What our trainees say

"Write a winning funding bid! Simply brilliant. I pointed a Doctor friend in this direction and was amazed at the draft Buisness Bid she wrote in the next few hours. Thank you VERY much!!" (KnowHow user, roybaylis)

  • Have fun working with a great KnowHow team!

What our trainers say

"KnowHow made the experience of being a trainer smooth and positive. In advance, the KnowHow team provided me with a combination of a clear brief and top tips to enable me prepare. On the day, they gently walked me through the videoing process - and gave me the reassurance and the occasional confidence boosts required to do something new and unfamiliar. While on the one hand, KnowHow expressed warm gratitude for me giving them some of my time, on the other, it was a positive learning experience for me!" (Tom Rowson, PA Consulting Group)

Could you be a KnowHow trainer?

If you’ve got some training you’d like to deliver and you think it would work well in a 20-30 minute bite-size format, we’d love to hear from you. Please email studyzone@knowhownonprofit.org
