Many organisations spend a lot of time and money finding the right person for the role, only to fall at the last hurdle. Often new recruits arrive full of enthusiasm on their first day and find that there is nobody to show them what to do and where to go, they have nowhere to sit and no computer or other essential equipment. To avoid this happening it can be useful to have a New Recruit Checklist (sample from Business Balls) to help prepare for the new starter.
