How do people feel about gaining professional advise in relation to cv writing and job applications now that finding work is becoming harder and harder?

Sending a CV also has emotional connotations. Hope is sent along with the CV, one would expect. And with hope there are only two possible emotional outcomes, the feeling of acceptance or a feeling of rejection. Both of these generate their own reactions and the impact it has on our emotions and dignity.
