How do people feel about gaining professional advise in relation to cv writing and job applications now that finding work is becoming harder and harder?

With regard to the question about professional advice in relation to CV writing, I had to question your definition of professionalism due to the grammar applied in your question.

How do I feel about this is a question I have not explored yet. But I might enjoy the exploration now that you have invited my input.

CV’s are normally what the decision makers compile in order to maintain a regulated procedure that complies with current requirements of employment legalities. This I believe is the case but you will know the facts. It would help my new venture if you could furnish me with the facts to clarify and elucidate on my premise.

There are different avenues, to the acquisition of a position to a post that employs an individual, which can be taken. I would need to compare and understand those before I could express an opinion. When you add into the mix current technology and innovations should CV,s become redundant?

Sending a CV also has emotional connotations. Hope is sent along with the CV, one would expect. And with hope there are only two possible emotional outcomes, the feeling of acceptance or a feeling of rejection. Both of these generate their own reactions and the impact it has on our emotions and dignity.

Should we move away from CV’s as employers are turning to other methods to evaluate a candidate by various forms of profiling?
I must admit your question has opened a can of worms to me and I may pursue this further if anyone is interested to join the exploration on the discussion page. There are numerous issues that intrigue me that has arisen out of your question.

I hope this helps you to understand why I am unsure of what my feelings are and that you will reciprocate by helping me to help you.
