About Shania
Streetwise and fast thinking, Shania is the first person in her family to go to university and the only black person on her course this year. She is a second year student on a B.A (Hons) Arts Management in South London and is writing a dissertation on ‘Intercultural Arts in Rural Britain’.
She lives at home with her mother and two younger brothers and works during the weekends to help out. She gets a lots of male attention but has seen her best friend become a teenage mother two years ago and doesn’t want that life for herself.
She is determined to run her own charity one day. She is bubbly, doesn’t suffer fools and loves listening to her mp3 player when she’s not on her phone. She is excited about living outside London for a few weeks and hopes to use Millcaster as her field research whilst volunteering for MillcARTS.
